I use the metaphor of a wave crashing to shore to explain the undeniable presence of God in your birth. As the waves approach, they rise and gather strength, demanding your attention. At its peak, the wave feels all encompassing and intense, but like every wave, it crashes into shore and falls away. The Lord’s presence is like the ocean itself, surrounding you completely, holding space within the waves.
Birth + Labor Doula Care
$1500
Our birth + labor doula care is best offered in the space of truly knowing each other + building trust. We can offer the following:
2 prenatal appts to work through your “birth preferences”, concerns, fears + pain management.
Client workbook where you will be able to educate further.
On call from 38-42 weeks.
Access to continual phone + text support throughout your pregnancy.
Support during birth: comfort measures, spiritual care, making sure you are hydrated + fueled, etc.
Heirloom birth story documented + written out.
Birth photos as documentation.
We will stay 1-2 hours after birth to assist with keeping you comfortable + fed.
1 postpartum visit at 1 week, I will come with a hot meal to check in on you + the family, debrief your birth, assist with breastfeeding if needed.
Postpartum Doula Care
$60 per hour, 3 hr. minimum
As a postpartum doula, I see my role as a way for you to heal + bond without life’s distractions. My goal is to help educate, serve + invest into you as a new mom + family in whatever way I can. We can offer the following:
Emotional support- processing your birth, praying for you, encouragement.
Creating space for rest.
Guidance on newborn care.
Guidance on newborn nourishment- whether bottle or breast.
Referrals to professionals as needed.
Light meal prep + snack support.
Laundry help.
Organizing + tidying baby spaces.
Helping partner + siblings feel confident in their new roles.
